Bulk & Hazardous Material Handling Experts Since The 1920sBJ Waters (Transport) Ltd is a 4th generation family-run haulage business, which first began in the early 1920s. The company operates from two depots in Matlock and Telford, where we run a fleet of sixty articulated vehicles. Although we have a vast amount of experience in different kinds of haulage, we specialise in bulk tipper movement and hazardous loads across the UK and the EU.
Geo. Siddall was acquired by BJW in the 1960’s and has been expanded over the past 20 years in the general haulage sector, as well specialist hi-abs and tail lift vehicles.
The majority of our vehicles are based at the head quarters, two miles north of Matlock, which is still at the original depot. The remainder of the vehicles are based at a smaller depot located in Telford, which was acquired by BJW in 1972.
Between the two depots there are around 90 employees, again with the majority based at the Matlock depot. On average the company transports over 2000 tonnes through imports and exports each week within Europe, and also transports over 1500 tonnes daily within the United Kingdom.
